Been lurking here for well over a year now. Thought I would jump in now, while the mellow vibes seem to be maintaining a reasonable level. Love the forum for the way it allows people to talk about our love for the music and the ways it has "infected" our lives. All the other B.S. we can all do with out. My first show was in'88, best show attended was 9-20-90. Saw about 50 shows in all.I stream some part of a show almost everyday. Read most post and try to listen to every link I have time for. When somebody will suggest that I just need to hear something, I can't seem to resist. Can't seem to ever get enough of this music. Love the fact that I can listen to some of the early stuff and close my eyes and dream about what it must have been like to be there. To hear the magic captured from the past is real joy to behold. The people that allow that to happen are angels, as well as the tapers who had the foresight to record it all. My lurking over this past year will hopefully keep me posting on what I love the best about this site, and that's the music. Love all of pictures and CD cover links as well, and some of you have a great sense of humor. My first comments about the boys would be this. Even though my moniker is a bode to Mr.Lesh, the song "Wave to wind" sent me to restroom. Looking forward to future post and will try to match all of you guys and gals wit and wisdom about this band beyond description. Now lay it on me, I got thick skin.

Turnphilup - I haven't spent much time in the '90's, but I do love this version of Broken Arrow - I think Phil's vocals are, for him, at the top of his game, and there is a point where Vince (and whoever else pipes in the "there you go!" lines) jumps in too early, and the crowd goes nuts!

Any other Broken Arrow versions you'd recommend?

No but i do love a good plate of Calamari! Actually this place feels a bit like a Ship of Fools so it seemed like an appropriate way to welcome someone willing to raise their flag here.

I like it.

Probably several 'Lost Sailors' floating around, drifting aimlessly.

Hey dire -

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. 23 people descended on the house like locusts. Even the dog went and hid - unheard of for a Golden retriever. Still haven't found the cat.

Be well my friend.

Thanks for the post and the ensuing laugh.

And never apologize for you age - especially if you are smart enough to be a fan of "the band beyond description".

Hey Mando!

had a great thanksgiving - small gathering at my parents and then a similar gathering to yours at my gf's. Glad to hear you survived yours :)

i do hope the turkey was not stuffed with the cat though. probably just residual shock and the poor thing is still in a catatonic state in some closet.

hope all is well with you my friend!!

peace
